Opened the bottle and the lavender hits you instantly—that violet Barrême note is unmistakable, but the nutmeg underneath keeps it from being too sharp. It lasts most of the day on my skin, which is more than I expected from a cologne-concentrée.

The dry-down is pure comfort—that violet lavender stays creamy on my skin for hours without turning soapy. I spritzed it on a scarf yesterday morning and could still catch whiffs of Barrême lavender after dinner.

The nutmeg really rounds out the violet lavender instead of letting it go powdery or sharp, which is such a hard balance to get right. I sprayed it on my scarf this morning and I can still catch that warm, clean trail hours later. This is the one I'll be reaching for all spring.
